Challis Kid's Fishing Derby
On behalf of the Challis Fishing Derby, we would like to thank the generous local sponsors of the annual Challis Kid's Fishing Derby held at the Blue Mountain Pond. This event wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of our caring community.
Kids who caught a tagged fish during the derby won a $25 gift certificate to The Bent Rod Outdoors or the Village Square donated by the following local businesses: Surefire Small Engine Repair, Mountain Valley Irrigation, Knights of Columbus, The Village Inn Café, S&W Junction and Round Valley Supply.
Every derby contestant received prizes, which were made possible by generous donations from: Blue Mountain Refuse, Challis Insurance Agency, Brett’s Automotive, Rick Forestier Construction, Bailey's Tire Factory, Country Doctor Chiropractic, Bux;s Place, Challis Liquor, Salmon River Electric Co-op, Mountain Valley Irrigation, Jenson Oil-Stinker Stores and the Challis BLM Employee, Custer Telephone Co-op, Challis Custom Meats, K & S Fencing, Thomas McGowan DMD, Iver Strand Construction, Quackin Carving and Marlo Jones.
